Tidbits and Trivia

Ever heard of a volcano rabbit? This rare species is endemic (only found in this particular geographic area) to the slopes of Mexican volcanoes and is currently classified as endangered. It's one of the tiniest rabbits in the world. The dark coloration of it's fur allows it to blend in with volcanic soil, keeping it hidden from potential predators. Take a look!

Other species endemic to Mexico include the great peeping frog, the Guadalupe fur seal, San José Island kangaroo rat!
